Roofers install, repair, replace flat roofs, shingles and other roofing materials on slopped roofing concentrated in the ICI and residential sectors. Roofers must be comfortable walking on elevated and slanted services.  

 

Roofing work can be physically demanding because it involves heavy lifting, as well as climbing, bending, and kneeling.  Some roofers specialize in working with a particular type of material, while others are comfortable working with many types of materials.  Roofers are the ones who literally keep a roof over our heads keeping our interiors safe and dry.

 

The tasks of a roofer would include taking detailed measurements to calculate materials needed, the placing/ installation of the layers needed to create a lasting roof cover. The roof layers include: vapour barrier and the specific roofing materials as per the clients preference. These roofing materials consist of: asphalt/cedar shingles, solar panels and galvanized metal.
