Notice: To All Members of The Carpenters’ Union Local 27!

With more construction sites operating and with more activities opening up, there is an increasing likelihood of Union members becoming exposed to the COVID-19 virus. Therefore, we want to remind all of our members that if you have tested positive for COVID-19, or if you test positive in the future, you should notify the Union as it is important that we have accurate information about the situation in the construction industry. Also, if you have, or do, test positive you should make sure that you register with WSIB. This is because you may be entitled to WSIB payments if it is determined that you contracted the virus as a result of your employment.

If you believe you may have come into contact with someone who has COVID-19 or if you are experiencing any symptoms, you should definitely consider getting tested. Tests are no longer being restricted and are widely available to anyone who wishes to get a test.

As always, your safety is our priority so if you have any concerns about the safety of your job-site contact a business representative.
